Fondant au Chocolat

Chocolate fondant. That's all we need to Know.

Are you looking for a delightful dessert? Are you looking for an easy one? This is your recipe!

This recipe was given to me by my French aunt, who is a great cook, I could say, she's  one of the best amateur cooks I've ever met, so far. She has the "allure" French people have. And what's more, she's one of a kind, and I adore her.

This fondant is half way between a molten cake and a really fudge cake. It's served in the baking dish, with a dollop of ice cream, or with fruits (as I do)

You will need:

200 grams. Dark chocolate from 50% up to 70%
4 M eggs
150 grams. Sugar
150 grams. Butter
1 tsp Flour

Method:
  • Preheat oven to 180ºC
  • Melt chocolate (over a bain Marie or in the microwave) Let it cool down.
  • Add eggs to the chocolate and mix.
  • Add sugar and continue mixing.
  • Melt butter and add it to the batter. Mix it up.
  • Add sifted flour into the batter and mix until is completely incorporated (we don't want lumps)
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake tin.
  • Bake for 15- 20 minutes.
  • Take it out of the oven. Let it cool down just until is warm.
  • Serve. And Enjoy!

Happy baking!
