If you love lemons as I do, this is your recipe. Easy to make and you will only need a few ingredients. These brownies are so moist, dense and tender that you'll fall in love at the first bite.
But let the recipe begin!
You will need:
130 grams. butter (room temperature)
100 grams. sugar
2 eggs (L)
1 Lemon (zest and juice)
Pinch of salt
50 grams.white chocolate (cutted in chunks)
125 grams. Flour
20 grams. Poppy seeds
Method:
- Preheat oven to 170ºC
- Grease a baking pan 20x 20 cm
- Whisk butter and sugar and fluffy and white.
- Add eggs, one at a time.
- Add lemon juice and zest.
- Add the flour (sifted) mixed with the baking powder.
- Don't over mix the batter.
- Cut the white chocolate into chunks (Mine small ones) and mix in to the batter.
- Add the poppy seeds. Mix.
- Pour the batter onto the baking tray.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a skewer comes out "clean" (it must be really moist. So, better stick to the time)
- Take the whole cake out of the oven.
- Wait to cut until cooled.
If you want to, you can make a glaze (4 Tbsp lemon juice + 100 grams powdered sugar) or decorate the brownies with melted chocolate. Or just eat them plain. Are a delish!
